Today’s advances in technology, building materials and construction methods evolve at an every changing pace. We strive to keep up to date with the latest advances so that we build quality, safe and energy efficient homes for our clients, that will stand the test of time… and mother nature. We have invested heavily in technology platforms and education to position ourselves as a modern day design and build company. We use the latest in Construction Management software, BuildBook, to keep schedules and budgets on track. BuildBook also provides our clients with a portal to see the live schedule, track the budget, request change orders, and receive daily/weekly updates to include progress photos.
Views and Vines Homes is also a proud member of the Rochester Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. As a member of the Rochester Home Builders’ Association and the National Association of Home Builders, we adhere to strict Construction Performance Guidelines, that covers 15 key areas of home construction. These guidelines go beyond standard building codes and local regulations, and focus on quality workmanship, free from material defects. We also attend residential construction shows and seminars to keep up to date with the latest in building methods and advances in materials in order to build clear, more efficient and safer homes. Our involvement in these associates also keeps us abreast of the latest design trends. Our in-house designer can help clients with material selections, color choices, and functional room layouts.

Meet The Team
Chris Hunt
Chris is the owner/builder at Views and Vines Homes. Chris’s passion for building comes from a life long pursuit of always trying new things. He views every custom crafted home and addition as a new challenge. Chris’ attention to detail and leadership on the job site comes from over 13 years of service in the US Army and Army Reserve (veteran). Post Army, Chris obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the Rochester Institute of Technology and was a certified project manager (PMP) for 8 years. After years of home improvement and helping others with home projects, Chris started Views and Vines Homes in 2018 to focus on creating a client-centric focused experience for new home construction and additions. His constant need for knowledge and never accepting the “status quo” has given Chris the unique ability to evolve with the ever-changing range of construction materials and methods, and the experience to balance cost and benefits.
Mary Hunt
Mary has always had a love for the Finger Lakes, especially Keuka Lake. From childhood she vacationed on Keuka, then as an adult with family and friends. She and Chris permanently moved to Keuka Lake, after the youngest child went off to college in 2016. Other family members have properties surrounding the region, truly making this their forever home base. Mary is a retired health care executive and consultant. She turned her passion for design into a second career. First by helping family and friends, Mary now provides a value-added service to Views and Vines Homes clients. Mary partners with our clients providing as much, or as little, functional and style design as they desire.
